Students experience a dairy farm, work more with science and math

We started with a hidden graph picture today.

We got to see a presentation from the Dairy Farm.  We were able to see it before the rain came in.

We worked with long division again today.  We did long division word problems, as well.

We also read a passage about friends.  I read it aloud to them.  Then they read it silently, then we read it chorally.  Many times it is important to read something three times.  Then we answered some questions.

We went to computers today for our STAR math test.

In science we weighed our three liquids.  We used water, vegetable oil, and syrup.  Then we predicted in which order they would be layered when poured into the same cup.  They were able to use what we learned when we compared oil and water to help with these predictions.

Tomorrow is the LAST day I will take any late work.  I have to get grades in and figure out who gets the awards for highest grade point averages in each subject.  A few are still missing Poetry Ringo.  Since we worked on that for two weeks in the classroom, it is worth four grades.  This is good if it is turned in and done well.  There was no reason not to have this done.

Have a great evening with your family!
