Class begins Poetry Ringo project

We had a fabulous Friday here in third grade!

We started with Bobcat Rally, and that always gets us off to an exciting start.

We worked with equivalent measurements.

We started Poetry Ringo today.  It is an activity I do every year.  They have to read 62 poems.  Then they choose their favorite three poets and poems.  Ask them about this.  It is due May 14.  We will work on it in class enough to finish at school.  But, as we all know, there will be some who don’t finish.  These students will have to bring it home to finish.  You may look online or go to the library.  But if you go online, please look up by poet and then check the poem that comes up.  Some of the poets write for adults, as well as children.  I just want to keep this g-rated!

We took our spelling tests.

We also went to the library for the last day of research in there.  If your child didn’t finish, he or she should have come home with it.

Have a great weekend!

I am off to Sayre this weekend.  I am going to be teaching teachers.
