We had a great day! We read silently for bell work today.
In math we discussed the
connection between fractions and money. We came up with multiple ways to
make a dollar. We worked in groups. Then we took a quiz. We
also worked on Scoot cards we didn’t have time to finish yesterday.
In reading we started our new
SRA packets. They are due next Thursday, March 15. We
also worked on word skills using our spelling words.
In spelling we used
fractions. We took a word, such as monopoly. Then we wrote the fraction
that showed vowels, and the fraction that showed consonants. So monopoly
had 4/8 vowels, and 4/8 consonants.
In science we drew the actual
outcome of our Unicorn crystals. It turned out much larger than we
expected!
