A full day: lines and line segments, cloze reading, science experiments, and synonyms and antonyms

We had a great day!

We started by finishing yesterday’s spelling, as we didn’t have time to complete it before tech.

In math we worked with lines and line segments.  You child has a book about it to read with you tonight.  It is by a friend of mine.  He sent me enough to have a class set.  You will need to read this with your child, as there are a few very difficult words.

In reading we read silently, chorally, using the cloze technique.  Then we read a nonfiction passage and answered the questions.

In science we discussed yesterday’s findings.  We made another prediction.  We predicted what the dot would look like if I dropped it from 225 cm.  That height was chosen because that was as tall as I could reach.  That is by standing on the couch.

We worked with synonyms and antonyms today, as well.
