We had a fabulous Friday in
third grade today.
We started with a
Valentine-themed code for bell work. (Who doesn’t like a good code?)
In math we changed things up
a bit, and worked in centers. I have several, and we worked through as
many as we could, in groups of two.
In reading we read and
summarized chapters 9-12. They are to reread those four chapters this
weekend.
In spelling we took our test,
after we did a crossword and corrected a sentence using our words.
We also revisited metaphors and matched them with the
ream meanings.
In science we read about the
Milky Way. We read it three times, as it is important to do, especially
when we read nonfiction. I read it to them. They read it silently,
and then read it to a partner.
