We had a busy day in third
grade today.
We started with 2 digit by 1
digit multiplication practice for bell work.
In math we reviewed money and
perimeter.
In reading we read chapters
7-8 in Mr. Popper’s Penguins. We also summarized that and answered some
questions over what we had already read.
We worked with synonyms and
choosing the correct word from our “100 Words Every Third Grader
Should Know” workbook. I paid for these personally, so if your child
loses his or hers, he or she won’t have one.
In spelling we worked with
finding the misspelled word and correcting it. We also put the
apostrophes where they belonged in given words.
In science we played sound
bingo.
Also, our party has to be
changed because that is the day of the Fun Run. We will go ahead and have
an impromptu Valentine exchange party next Wednesday in the classroom.
